I can't seem to get any download managers to work for me. I tried getright, internet download manager, dap, etc. Probably all of them. I'm a U.S soldier deployed in Iraq right now and i'm connected through a wireless internet so I don't know if that has anything to do with it but I know this site has worked for me a week or two ago and I know there was some way I did it to resume the file but I can't for the life of me figure it out now. Since this crappy wireless net goes out almost every other hour my download will be like 15% done and then the download managers will think the files done and now I have no choice but to re download from the beginning to have it stop again at another obscure percentage which is just one giant loop of irritation lol I try to stop the files when they get to around say 1mb to imitate to the file that my internet went out so I can test to see if I can resume it at a later time on the off chance it doesn't just stop and tell me the files done at 5mb or something but when I do all the download managers for the most part say something along the lines of "this site does not support resuming". I know there's a way to resume or at the very least work around it but I can't for the life of me figure it out and It's driving me insane lol Also every time the internet goes down, or about 60% of the time we have to login to a website before we can even use the internet so maybe that's why the files stopping completely instead of pausing or whatever but I don't know if there's a way to auto-login to that page but that would be extremely convenient. Any help?
The army proxy could definitely be the issue, you sent me those headers you got and I couldn't see anything wrong with them, I'm not quick to place the blame elsewhere but I honestly don't think there's much we can do to fix this on our end. If the proxy doesn't support range requests then there's nothing we can do to fix it. =/
We don't allow ftp downloads. In any case, my experience is that ftp through a proxy is asking for trouble.
Are there ways to work around this? I mean a lot of random sites i go to allow resuming like download.com, alienware.com and a lot of small no-name sites but for some reason you guys and megaupload (which makes no sense cause they should definetely allow me to resume) conflict with my internet. I'm willing to take any risk to start download especially seeing as how I paid $15 for 2 months of the site and $5 for 10000 credits. I'd hate to think thats $20 down the drain lol
we're discussing this, but do understand that it's a difficult situation as we can't see anything wrong. We can't promise anything, but we are trying.
