Downloading problem. need help

When i download a game, it says
Error copying file or folder: cannot read from source file or disk.
Anyone know how to fix this?

 

are you using the game in an emulator or anything?

Where are you downloading from? Here?

 

Seems like he/she can't open the file, probably he/she saved it into a thumbdrive or external drive, and tried to open it or copy to another a folder but fail.

We need more information about this.

 

That generally comes up when you are trying to move a file that's in use, or the system can't find the file you're trying to move/copy. (ie. faulty thumb drive etc)

The game file itself could be damaged, make sure you only download from legit sites and make sure the file has completely downloaded. (check file size- sometimes it can say done, but there was an error)

But, from my experience, this thing usually happen because of the USB slot or any plug that is used to connect between 2 hardware
are either damaged or broken, causing the hardware to malfunction or vice versa.

For example,
I have connected my thumbdrive to the desktop using one of the USB slots, the computer able to recognize it, and I'm able to open any file inside the thumbdrive..

But, after using it for a while, and tried to save/copy/delete any file in the tumbdrive, a message appear....
"Error copying file or folder: cannot read from source file or disk."
When I try to open, my thumbrive(from my computer), I found that, there are no file inside it.

So, what I'm doing is, unplug the thumbdrive and plug it into the another available USB slot, which is behind the CPU.
and that solving the problem.

Sometimes, the thumbrive/external itself are broken, or USB slot, which is usally the front one. ;D

 

My front USB's are the one's that work... well ONE of them works... I have like 8 at the back and one works all the time, one works sometimes and the others don't work.

My PC needs a bit of tlc I think.

That happen because of download failure.
Try using download manager next time. ;D
