Hi, I'm new here. whenever I try to download any game (I'm downloading psx roms) anytime in the download I get the error message "a system call that should never fail has failed."
How can I get past this? I havent been able to download anything yet.

What Internet Browser are you using? Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari?

I would recommend getting Firefox from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

It's an all around better browser, and may solve your download issues without having to fool around with Internet Explorer.

It didn't work :( I used firefox but it stopped at the same place...53% for crash 3 warped. and it said the source page could not be read. Do I need an add on? or is it just corrupted? but every game ive tried to download does that! please help.

Using a download manager might help, if you have unstable internet a download manager will allow you to resume the file when it stops.

Does it happen to every file or just one?

Every file. Though I only download psx iso's. All the Crash Bandicoot files did this to me. I read about another guy on here that had the same problem with psx files.

Which server are you using? Are you running any blocking software such as peer guardian, a firewall or some internet protection software?

All of our download servers are working fine, and firefox is definitely capable of handling a normal file download. So something on your end is blocking the download. This could be anything from your computer, your router or your ISP.

Thank you! I'll start tinkering with my settings.
