Download links are timing out

Discussion in 'Site Support' started by EnrusTHEunicorN, Dec 7, 2013.

  1. Everytime i try to download a ps2 rom the download link times out. I have been patient in trying it on other games and waiting for a few before trying again, but nothing i have tried is working and they just keep timing out. I sent and email to Seph like it says on the other forum, but i have yet to get a response and i am beginning to get quite frusterated.

Seph is on holiday, so you probably won't get a reply for a while.
    I'll try to help.

Are you trying to use a download manager? And what web browser are you using?

  3. Thank you, i dont think i have a download manager, Im just using google chrome. I have tried downloading a iso for each one of the other emulators and they worked without a hitch, i dont understand.

A download manager MIGHT help, but no guarantees.

In that case, what release are you trying to download (a link would be perfect).

  5. The game i have really been trying to get is Dark Alliance 2, link: https://www.romulation.org/roms/PS2/Baldurs-Gate-Dark-Alliance-2-(U).rar/ , i dont understand what you mean by release, im gonna try and go get a download manager and try that out

    Thanks.
'Release' is just the game. It's the official way of saying it. :p

Anyway, I've checked myself and am getting the exact same problem as you.
I expect the ROM is missing in the FTP, but I don't have access to the PS2 part of it, so I can't help you much further.

  7. Alright, makes sense, i guess ill just see if the download manager works, if not ill have to wait till the issue is resolved

Seph is currently in bed, it's 5am where he is. I'm looking in to this as far as I am able, but it may need Seph's involvement to fix.

  11. Alright cool, im glad to see that the websites admins and such are active, some pay sites like this ive seen they just ignore their users.

Wasn't he on holidays... maybe he's back.

I know exactly what you are talking about.
Mr "Admin" is being an ass on that site. Won't respond to Skype or anything. Maybe Seph can talk some sense into him.

Figure I'll add to this. I've been attempting to download https://www.romulation.org/roms/PS2/Tales-of-the-Abyss-%28UNDUB%29-%28U%29.7z/ several times over the course of 3 days. I'd always either end up with a corrupt 7z file, or a 504 Gateway Timeout issue when it's loading in the browser. I've tried IE, Firefox (Nightly version), Google Chrome, and I've attempted using IDM as a download manager with all 3 browsers and without.

Seems like it's restricted to the PS2 section.
Hopefully Seph and/or Loonylion can help fix it.

Aye, I've had no issues what-so-ever with any other section. I downloaded many other games around the same time for use with my tablet's emulators. I had a friend attempt as well, he had the same issues with it.

  17. i dont know what you guys did, but it is working perfectly now :3

It might just be temporary as I don't know what caused it yet. Will monitor the situation.
