Alright. First off I know you have to use Pandora's battery and what not but I'm not willing to pay for something that MIGHT make my PSP a brick, its out of the question, I'm also not willing to pull apart my only battery to risk bricking as well. I'm not even 100% sure WHAT to do with Pandoras battery, im running official firmware 4.05, so do I downgrade to the last version or can I fully downgrade all the way back to 1.5 and then install CWF? The tutorials that I have read didnt help, in fact the tutorials made it even worse because everyone who thinks theyre smart with a PSP evidently isn't...anyways if anyone knows of a tutorial or if they can give me some helpful facts and what not, please post it in topic, 32BitPwns

    Thanks

I was in the same position as you not long ago. All i can recommend is that you DO get a Pandora's Battery, and follow this really easy vid on how to make a Magic Memory: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgBa0nIyTFE

Once in possession of both, put the mem stick in the psp, then the battery and follow the instructions on the screen.

I'm now on 4.01mm3-2, so i guess anyone else can be too ;D

EDIT: make sure you back-up everything you want to keep on the memory stick you're going to turn into a Magic Memory stick, then format it in the PSP. everything should work then

    My tutorial, step by step.
    it's almost fool proof.

also, the pandora's battery also functions as an unbricker so if you brick your PSP, you just repeat the same exact steps until you get it right.
