Doom! Why was it so good

Why do you think it was such a big success
in my view i think it is a good game for its time and i enjoy playing it.
it hardly takes anything to run it and we have now started to play doom at school of on our memory sticks
so if your bored or have some free time just play doom and have fun!

well it was a good game and had a lot of violence for a game in that time so it got in the news as a controversial game which meant free world wide advertisement

 

Scariest game at the time, best looking game at the time, most violent game at the time, online play (whoa), most fun (still is really fun) game at the time.

 

Just because it was awesome (and still is)

 

3d movement? i.e. you can throw a grenade around a corner off a wall

 

The graphics were pretty good in those days, and its improving now... Awesome series
