I can't seem to work Doom 1 with the Doomsday engine, an error message comes up.. I try to run it, as It opens. I start a new game, and the error message comes, and the game window closes. Any help?
Heres what it says, and well its called DOOM.WAD and its 10 MB with all of the required files that were used in the Dos version

Yep I've got it. Click Where To Download Doom on that link you provided and click the DOS Games Archive Mirror. Then go down and click the Download link. Once you've downloaded it, extract it and then run the install.bat. It will ask you on which drive to install Doom in. Most of the time it's C:\ so type C then it will bring up a default folder to install it in. It will be DOOMS. Then configure the sound and input settings and then run it!
Yeah i did that, although it only works for the normal version, without the engine. The engine heps improve graphics, and add wads to it. So im not sure NEVER MIND: thanks soo much dude, it works now! You are a genius!
So did you have to redownload the .wad file? What was your fix? DS Doom is a must have I play it once in a while, good stuff.
Of course I'm a genius ;D But anyways you got it fixed now, good for you. I'm gonna try to add the engine, see if it ups the graphics and stuff.
Yeah DS Doom is cool, and I had to get a new wad. file yeah, to re-start it up in Doomsday. I set a new IWAD file for Doom from the Dooms folder. So thanks anandjones
