What do you mean "the new one"?. There's only one release date for the Windows and Playstation versions, and that's 1999.
GTA2 is the better one in terms of GFX,ect. GTA (1) is pretty much the same as 2 in terms of gameplay, and view, ect. with enhanced GFX. GTA3 was made in 3D and was the first GTA in 3d. Though by changing the camera's you can play in classic birds eye view too, perhaps you have seen screenshots of this? perhaps not. But no there was no remake of GTA2.
No he means it WAS made in 1999, there's no new version of it, it got released for free at a later point if I remember correctly but it wasn't a remake, it was just the old version.
because sony are likely to get pissed off about it since PS2 games are still selling, they're a lot more aggressive than nintendo. Besides, once we're finished uploading PSX most of our disk space will be gone.
