you have to have a translation patch.

and depending on the patcher, there are several ways to patch it.

some need an IPS patcher, some are .exe, and others are drag and drop.

let me know which one you get.

IPS patchers are executable .exe files.. The drag and drop ones are a bad idea, bad coding of the patch or patcher could lead to a bad patch.

I'm talking about the actual IPS patchers that end in .ips.

The patchers are easy to use, open it, click Load IPS etc., find it and load it, and then click Load ROM etc., and browse to your unmodified clean ROM. Then click Patch etc.

i think i looked in the right section at translations but there are only about 15 games there!
i think im lucky enough that theres a metal slug translation(or did i check the wrong section?)
and i knew it i wouldnt understand the instructions:
Use provided patch against the XPA release from some hours ago. Tools
    are included.

    -> bspatch xpa-ms7.nds patched.nds sq-ms7p.bdf

what the heck is this supposed to mean??
so please give me a DIRECT LINK i repeat a DIRECT LINK on the patches for metal slug 7 and monster farmer and PLEASE TEACH me how to PATCH it.
and i checked the forums and went in flash kit guides and faqs everything seems complete in here but i think id just waste 3 hours trying to understand these tech stuff. i think itd be quicker if you pros just instruct me what to do and explain to me the meaning of the tech words youll use(ex. flashcart white tape with TTDS written on it / microSD small black tape inserted inside the white tape written with TTDS).

and theres these stuff when i downloaded the patch(or is it the patch?) :
    sq-ms7p.nfo
    sq-ms7p.bdf
    file_id.diz
    bspatch.exe
    bsdiff.exe

and theres this IPS patcher you guys are saying and what is it? do i need it and will i have to download it?

    Hello,

I make a fast tutorial to play Metal slug 7 in your language.

OK [it's] time to clean the first post, Here is the best patch, In game menu at boot.

You can [launch] the rom in Us/EU/japan, Eu region is awesome, clean, all text match in window and like the official Eu release. (multi 5 )

    http://narutrans.freehostia.com/squire-patch.zip download this.

and rename your MS7 rom to xpa-ms7.nds
make a new text document containing

    bspatch xpa-ms7.nds patched.nds sq-ms7p.bdf
[that means open up notepad, type in that line, save it as patch.txt file like always (you'll see why in just a minute)]

place all files in 1 folder.
rename the text file you created to patch.bat
[this is where you take patch.txt and change its extension to .bat. Do this manually.]
    run patch.bat

    [Awesome, totally] awesome!!!!!!

Thanks to thedicemaster for quote and upload the patch
Thanks to Squire for the patch!!!!! Best boot menu/trainer ever (and dump biggrin.gif)

Remember [I don't] make [anything except] the tutorial

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

The guy's English is horrible, but those are the directions for Metal Slug 7.
Note: Be sure to put your ROM, your patch, your .bat file all in the same folder before you run the .bat file.

There should be a patcher that comes with it, if it indeeds uses it's own ips extension, like dps. You can use a IPS patcher like LunarIPS.

also, tell me what system Monster Farmer is on, what game sequel, like 1 or 2, date published, etc.

I found Monster Farmer 1 and 2 for the GBA.

i already created the patch.txt(i keep typing patch.txt it keeps coming up with"patch". supposed to happen i think?)
and my metal slug 7 rom is already xpa-ms7.nds

place all files in 1 folder.
rename the text file you created to patch.bat
[this is where you take patch.txt and change its extension to .bat. Do this manually.]
    run patch.bat

what do i place? the xpa-ms7.nds rom and the patch.txt/patch and the bs patch squire in one folder?
    and i will rename patch.txt/patch to patch.bat
    confused again

Should place all the required files in the same folder yes, you don't need to rename to play.
