From an administrator's point of view, I can confirm that people have been given premium membership after completing trialpay offers, however it isn't necessarily as prompt as donating via paypal.

if you buy premium via paypal, it should upgrade your account within 5-10 minutes, unless the payment is sent as an 'echeck', in which case it will take 2-3 days to clear, then your account should be upgraded within 5-10 minutes of the payment clearing
