Does anyone here NOT like Pokemon????????(now with a poll)

I was just wondering because it seems everyone is obsessed with it. My example is that when I searched Pokemon, there was way to many answers.

Just search Pokemon and you'll see what I'm talking about. and when you do you'll see that there shouldn't be that many results.

I just want to know what is so great about Pokemon that everyone loves it.

One more thing- my opinion on Pokemon is that the creatures don't move and fight each other because Nintendo wants to let kids play so they will make money- but if they make it real fighting, some parents won't let kids play and they will lose money. So Nintendo can't make the games violent.(they can't make the games rated Teen)[again, this is my opinion- not what it really is]

What exactly are you searching for?

and of course, there are a lot of topics that will come up because the search feature will look for the threads which have relevance to the keyword you typed in "pokemon"

I am bored of it now.

what i'm searching is to bring proof that a lot of people like Pokemon and i want to know what is so great about it.

When you search Pokemon, there are a lot of threads/topics about it coming up. Isn't that enough of a proof?

Eghm, it's time somebody answered the actual question - I HATE Pokemon. Whole idea of kid running with oversized yellow rat, who throws fancy red-white balls at other stupid things, like living potatoes (diglett ) seems wrong to me. I didn't even like the games, they're just too repetitive...

So then the answer to the question is...yes. Rysio hates Pokemon, so there is atleast one person here who hates it.

I on the other hand like it, so I shall now fade into the background of the thread and watch from the shadows

OMFG!!! i also hate poke*** (i do not even say the word!!) i seriously don't see what people see in these games, they are all the same crap!!!!! at least there are a few sane people as ourselves living in this world........

the first pokemon i played was diamond, i was sceptical at first, but i found myself getting

engrossed in it, and yes, found it very enjoyable, so enjoyable in fact, that i could n't wait to play the next installment

when that finally arrived, (platinum), it just wasn't the same for me

i think i lasted about an hour or 2 with platinum, and i haven't gone back to it

so what did i find so great about it? probably the rpg elements, e.g. the levelling up of my characters/pokemon

my love for the typical rpg, and being new to pokemon


p.s and no, i didn't feel like i had to catch them all

I NEVER liked pokemon, ever since green screened gameboy
Don't get what people see in it:
-repetitive gameplay, ridiculous battle system, ALL the games are pretty much the same, poor graphics in battles, no story, no customisation, NOTHING!
PLEASE TELL ME WHY THE HELL DO PEOPLE LIKE IT ???

i like pokemon.......they're ok, but the game gets old once you beat the elite four and everything else.....

i'm not too interested in completing platinum anytime soon......

Eh, I don't hate it or like it. First & second generations were good, after that it got boring. A lot of little kids I know love Pokemon though, I was one of them.

first & second were great
thrid was pretty good
then it got super-retarted.
It's probbably because both the show and games hold childhood memories for lots of people.
and kids like it. alot.
.....and diglet is a mole. not a potato.....

In later games if you played around there is a small bit of customization...from pokeballs to even pokemon stat's...

Ev training is the name.


It's games like these that bring people in-from fps to other rpg's-and yes...sport games by EA-it's this sort of repitition that brings them back in....



I still like them but not like before.

Gold and silver were the best I reckon.
