Do you like or hate Pokemon??

I was just wondering because it seems everyone is obsessed with it. Just search Pokemon and you'll see what i'm talking about. and when you do you'll see that there shouldn't be that many results.

I just want to know what is so great about Pokemon that everyone loves it.

 

I really like pokemon. I've been playing it since 4th grade (i'm a senior now) when I got Crystal version for the GBC.
And while I really love pokemon, I agree that there are some people that need to take the obsession down a little.

What's so great about Pokemon?
For me, I get that "Gotta Catch em All" mania. I'm one of those people who have completely beaten a pokemon game (as in completed the pokedex, beaten...everyone...etc.) I loved beating it. I felt this great sense of accomplishment. That's what makes pokemon so great.

I understand that it's just not a game for some people though.

 

Why is this a debate? It's exactly the same as your other thread.

 

I say I dislike it, not hate it only because the games were getting stale but the upcoming release will change that hopefully and there's always the promise that the fifth generation will be better, but seriously internet peoples calm down with the pokejunk already.

 

i love pokemon, why? because its fun to catch a monster, train, and battle with other people.... not to mention collecting them as well.

the core of the game is the same, but when you play it, it doesnt feel like the same game.

 

even though im 22 i still like the games they may have the same story and plot in everyone made but its has a solid gameplay. iv have an idea that would make it better so i wont tell untill i explain to the the company first

 

I like it, Love it, buut nowadays I'm not really into it like old days, the first time I saw them, the were so cuteee,until now still cute but now it's too many of them.. and the story is fun

Well it depends on what other games you like many games are based on Poke'mon and some are copys or improved.
Well I like alot of games based of pokemon so I have to say I like it but yes it does get boring.

I not like pokemon, but i dont hate it either.
The Anime cartoon sucks.
But the games, its all the same but however i still like it.

 

I am currently 23 years old and pokemon cards came out around the beginning of 6th grade for me.. i was into the cards i was into the game (red,blue at the time of course)
and i guess you could say i was pretty obsessed, time passed and i stopped playing the card game, got into other card games (yes i was a card nerd in my earlier years xD) still played the video games.. god when silver/gold came out i was in heaven..

anyway.. i actually picked the card game back up again around the age of 17 with a couple of neighborhood friends/card shop nerds etc etc but shortly after quit again, continued to play the newer games over the years, still havn't played through diamond/pearl/or platinum but im getting there slowly xD and actually just about a year ago everyone in my neighborhood age range of 19-22 started stealing pokemon cards from all sorts of venues and what not... before we all knew it we were buying/playing again rofl.. We would smoke ourselves silly and then have little lame ass pokemon tournaments for a couple hours haha

to sum it up though.. considering i grew up with the shit, there really isn't a way to unlike pokemon, I can safely say we all moved away from the card phase again.. didn't take too long either.. one day everyone woke up and just asked themselves "wtf did i just waste all that money on"? But yeah Pokemon is deep in ma bloooood.. I will probably always play the new games when they come out just out of nostalgia.. The americanized show however just makes me want to take a really long P*ss on everyone for some reason.. i can live without it

 

I'm not too fond of the pokemon anime because i just think it's boring.
I think all pokemon video games are basically the same thing: catching and battling/training
which can get pretty boring

 

I dont like pokemon.

1. All the animals say a repetition of their name.

Pikachu - Pika pika
Squirtle - squirtle squirtle
Charlemander - char char!

2. The plot in the anime was repetitive.
3. Nobody dies...I know its a kid show but cant we at least see some blood?

 

Pokemon = best GB game EVER
Pokemon + mystery + dungeon = D: D: D: D: D:

 

I've played nearly every single Pokemon game, not counting the Mystery Dungeon. Although I did start playing Mystery Dungeon, I didn't like it... :'(

 

I like the games but I hate the show
