no-infact I am personally scared by the affects... After putting up with how my parents have been for years, and after what friends have told me...I'd dredd the day I might become drunk-I'd would become more prone to physical violence...or become a sobbing wreck. Who know's what I'd be, I just don't want to unleash it, I have fun with water and coca-cola anyway...it keeps me awake during parties at least...boring things.
Yeah I drink a few beers in the weekends when we're at a bar or disco but only if I don't have to work the day after. That being said. I don't drink much or go to a bar that often because I work almost every day and when I have a day off, usually I work the next day so no alcohol.
used to love a good piss up but now the older i get the worse the hangovers and since i threw up blood at reading music festival it hasn't had much of an appeal but i do love a drink with a meal or a cold one from the fridge after a busy day.
I used to get pissed every night-I was a pool hustler at 16,so that helped finance the drinking.Was a bouncer at 19 back in 1986 and drank my £45 nightly earnings.When I was 14 I could drink a half bottle of Vodka in one go. There is nothing wrong with being tee-total,it only can become a problem when your in the company of drunk people...
no. i have my reasons not to. my uncle is a drunken monkey, i had 3 great grandfathers who were all alcoholics and they were all horrible people. one died from being electrocuted (not drunk, worked on electric lines, but he was horrible as well), one just showed up when he wanted his wife for one thing, and the other came home drunk and wanted to abuse his wife and family, but no one was home...so he got a gun and shot himself in the head.....i'm kind of glad they died over 30 years ago....way before i came into this world... it's ok in moderation, but in excess, it is a horrible brew. no i don't drink. plus i'm underage still....2 years though. i will later on in life...just a couple of beers a month or something. nothing too excessive like my great-grandfathers and uncle..... it's sad really.....
with self control, that wouldnt happen. only idiots get so drunk that they lose the ability to walk. surely if parties are so boring... you dont want to be awake/be able to remember it and do you know whats resl soothing, a nice cold beer. i've been drinking socially for about three, maybe four years now and it's done alot more help than harm.
I unfortunatly have little self control, not just my post habits and emotions, though I have had mates tell me the will tie me up if I get drunk XD I'd rather leave parties however, only stay awake just long enough to wish everyone well then drop off in the corner, because my cousin's ternd to like a drink, they think what I do is normal XD But some times I am unfortunate to stay awake, in these cases I just sneak out, bugger the party...all they do is drink and dance-things people like me don't do. Unless I can find someone out of the whole thing who I can have an intelligent chat with that help's make the time fly I cbf'd staying, even if the food is good.
Yes sometimes I drink alcohol if I drink I drink this (I'll hope the people from abroad recognize this liqueur Cola -beerenburg (it is a herb bitter that is famous in Holland with 35% alcohol) BACO----> Bacardi --Coke Or just a pure Malibu on the rocks ( keeps you warm with the cold here) Or a pint of beer is just fine for me
lol, I just had a beer with fried rice for dinner. I'm weird like that. : P I do drink, but never to the point of getting smashed. I stop when I start feeling tipsy. I don't think I'll ever see what's so appealing about getting piss drunk and making a fool out of yourself.
If there's a party - of coz : ...but I never drink stronger stuff than beer by myself. It's less fun without a companion ;D
I don't drink because I promised that I wouldn't to a friend. ^__^ And honestly, back when I got drunk when I was 14 I didn't like it, I felt light and carefree.. D:
We're debating the effects of alcohol : the effects are if you cant handle your drink or know your limit, you end up looking like an arsehole.
I can't see anything debateable in this at all. It's not like someone is going to post 'after 16 pints and half a bottle of Jack Daniels I drive better, dance better and can do advanced number theory with my toes, all at the same time!'. Everyone knows drinking too much makes you into a dumb fool.
I can do that without the help of alcohol. I prefer beer, but will drink different types of liquor depending on my mood, but as for getting "pissed/drunk" to the point where I am a total jackass or have no control it doesn't happen often and takes quite a bit to get me to that point.
