Do the tamer ranks matter as much in Digimon Dawn as in Digimon World DS?

    Do the tamer ranks matter as much as they did in digimon world ds? (I mean you needed to be a bronze tamer in order for champion digimon to obey you in digimon world ds)
    I ask this question cause in the first fight on the arena as a normal tamer i get to fight with 2 champion digimon

    I don't think so. I haven't played Dawn in a long ass time, but I don't recall needing Tamer Ranks for Digimon to obey you.
