-They may make a proper "fix" later on, follow your support forums

-Most user's here wouldn't even buy this-prehaps one of them got it working unofficially...

-I don't really understand why someone would want to manage a team when playing is where it's at, thus I won't even be looking at this :p

Oh so ignorant you are of the finer gaming pleasures of this world. Of course, every one knows that Football Manager is where it's at. Championship Manager is the kiddie version.

it wouldn't even start, with or without the launcher. tried reinstalling, tried .net3.5 reinstall, tried shortcuts, tried compatability settings, tried xp and 7, tried downloading update.
basically ive tried everything i could find on their forum.
when you click the program it says something is missing(your supposed to use the launcher on vista) so i use launcher and get to the start new game and nothing happens.
and then the program wont close ive had to turn my pc off at the plug 4 times

... I don't believe just because a game won't work on one operating system, nobody in the world should buy this..

As seph all ready mentioned, it serves you right for buying championship manager.

Nah but that sucks and seeing as it's a game it's not like you can easily go and get your money back.

ive been playing football manager for years and fancied a change, the 3D match looked good so i gave it a go.
i will definately stick with football manager now, even if they fix it.

the EU did try to make that grounds for returning a game, but came up against fierce opposition from the games companies who were afraid of having to spend money making sure their games actually work.

yea Bethesda would still be receiving copies of Pirates of the Caribbean (pc and xbox) and Bioware knights of the old republic... how you can make a game that doesnt save your progress 100% and still be in the business is beyond me.. well Bethesda i can see, Bioware just blows ass

    1. Why bring up a game that's so unknown that they helped make it? Bethesda has made a lot more buggy games, like Fallout 3, Oblivion, Morrowind etc

    2. Bioware doesn't blow, if you get past the 100% thing, they make great games, that are in fact, a lot less buggy than Bethesda's.

I never had any issues with bugs in oblivion. Nor fallout3 original game (patched and pre DLC) operation anchorage was awful bug wise.

From the little amount of time I've played Oblivion, I've had bugs.

The from the time spent playing Fallout 3, there was a lot. NPCs that killed themselves (this was also in Oblivion) in the PC version, you can revive them, but in the consoles, you can't, the PC version performing badly due to memory leaks, the PS3 version having bugs (like freezing when a friend comes online or you receive a message), VATS taking a long time to load then there's stuff like the DLC not loading properly, then ending not changing, getting stuck in the landscape etc. None of this with the exception of VATS and the PS3 freezing issue has been patched.

All these are fixable in the PC version because of the console (with the exception of memory leaks and performance issues), they are not fixable in the 360/PS3 version. Due to the first glitch I mentioned (NPCs killing themselves/disappearing) can force you to have to restart your entire game over on the consoles.

I'ive been playing Oblivion for the past 3 hours actually and the only bug i found is if you dont move your save files before you make a new character it corrupts all your save files, ive got more than 200+hours on Oblivion and thats the only bad thing ive ran into...other than the animals lagging which the "quiet feet" mod fixed:D and i only had trouble with Morrowind on the xbox never on the PC..

as for Bioware look at knights of the old republic 1 & 2 and also Jade Empire all had buggy saves and that horrible white loading screen of doom.. even Mass Effect 2 was buggy even after the patches, it had bad saves as well as when you would be on your ship your targeting icon would randomly just disappear.. i most likely wont even waste my money on Mass Effect 3 unless someone else makes it. i doubt ill even play another Bioware product..

i cant say anything about Fallout 3 because im buying it next week to check it out. i'm waiting till its cheaper i didnt want to spend $50 on it because my video card meets the minimum specs(Nvidia Geforce 8400GS...512MB) though i blow the rest of the reqs out of the water .. and Pirates of the Caribbean was supposed to be Seadogs 2 but disney bought it and rushed it.. it still has a decent size fan base and an awesome mod called "Build 14" that completely put the original game to shame, sucks the bugs still haunt even that mod.. literally 1 out of every 3 saves get corrupted for no reason...

    * did you every get championship manager 2010 to even work yet ??.. Msg

You won't buy a game, simply for a few bugs? Wow, picky.

I'm sorry, but to miss out on a game for those reasons I find is ridiculous. I've played the crap out of Fallout 3, I beat it twice (having to restart it on the 360 because of a bad save, and an NPC dying in Megaton).

I've never had a bad save in Mass Effect, I haven't played JE or KotoR (I don't really want to either, they don't appeal to me). I've had more problems with Fallout 3 and Oblivion than Mass Effect ever has. The PC version isn't so bad (with the exception of memory leaks, you'd think with an old engine they'd optimize it better), but the console version is almost inexcusable, to have to restart because of a needed NPC dying is ridiculous, and the freezing when you get a notification on the PS3 is also silly. The sad thing is, is that you give the game a couple of mods, and it's actually ten times better than what it used to be (just by editing some code).

In fact, the bugs you bring up are a lot less minor then the Oblivion one you brought up. It's quite too bad that a lot of the problems that plagued Oblivion, also plague Fallout 3.
