This does not answer his question(s). As for the question(s) at hand, they don't make any sense, clarify. And as ace mentioned above, VLC player plays virtually every format, and it's better on resources than any other player besides Media Player Classic. You're much, much, better off getting VLC player.
VLC plays anything, and is used by most computer techs because of its compatibility, and quickness (lightweight)
For those "in the know", VLC is actually one of the poorer solutions out there. It sucks with styled subtitles and IIRC rendering of some codecs and, in terms of data footprint, it's not "lightweight" at all - 18MB extracted to 30.1MB (for the old version I have) compared to CCCP's total of 5.94MB installed to 22.3MB. CCCP comes with Media Player Classic and Zoom Player, by the way. Not sure if/what players K-Lite comes with.
MPC is probably the easiest to use, and starts up MUCH faster than WMP. VLC's probly good too, can't confirm.
K-lite mega codec pack is just a codec pack, not a media player. But it DOES come with both VLC & MPC so you can choose which one you'd like. Personally I like MPC, though it lacks a library system.
