People are overreacting, the people who are in Marvel are still in Marvel. Marvel is going to be a company like Miramax, and I doubt Disney will force it's logo on Marvel products, just like Miramax.

Disney just saw Marvel and thought it has potential(or it already makes) a lot of money, so they bought them.

I highly doubt Disney will have creative control over Marvel.

*imagines iron man cross over into micky mouse universe with anythingb iron man related looking more or less disney.

    OH DEAR GOD NO!

    *hangs self

...seriously though, I thought marvel would be agaisn't this, but I guess ethier

    1.They are greedy

2.They had problems we didn't know about

3.That spiderman crossing over in bug's life was a great idea (which is, franky, more scary than a xenomorph about to pounce on me)

    4.They wanted to increase profitability.

Let's see what happens first before we actually condem them.

    Oh my lord.
Disney really needs to stop buying everything.
Marval "was" good but I guess it's going to be boring now.
Although, pirates of the carribean was good so maybe not. I really do hope not.

this may mean disney is trying to expand.

if you look at disney, it's often all about children. this means all they can do is make things or basically target kids on the things that they do. however, by having marvel, they can then make products and stuff that can also appeal to non children. for instance, marvel has comics that are targetted for teens or adults, so not only does disney now have products to target kids but also to target teens and adults.

    additionally, there are other reasons.

People forget that Disney already has other groups under it's belt that cater to non-children audiences.

    Miramax is part of Disney.

    No Country for Old Men.
    Kill Bill
    Good Will Hunting
    Pulp Fiction

I'm sure you can see their list of movies...

Warner has owned DC for quite some time, mind you Vertigo has mostly remained outside of Warner ownership. It would seem that Disney now have all of Marvel, but there is nothing to stop Marvel artists walking away.

People saying this is the end of Marvel are stupid, they just got the entire backing of Disney! Disney didn't buy them to change what Marvel creates, they bought them because what they do has huge potential and they want them to continue - only getting the money themselves.

Disney and Marvel..... well why Disney and not DC >.>

there will be tons of greatness if DC brought Marvel..... who doesnt want JLA to work along side with The Avengers.

Marvel being backed up by Disney does sound like a good idea, i just hope they don't start bringing in the jonas brothers or miley cyrus to star in any upcoming marvel movies (IRONMAN2, AVENGERS, ect!?) i swear i will never go to the movies again if that happens!

Marvel still has their old movie contracts with other companies. They're still making Ironman 2 with Paramount etc.

Heh, probably means there might be a Marvel vs. Disney game in the furture. Marvel seems to like vs.-ing every other fighter games out there.

PS. like to see wolverine fight against miley cyrus

I'm hearing that South Park episode...
"He's doing something to her ass, but it's definitely not kicking it."

(Ya, in the original, the target was a "his ass" not "her ass".)
