Just thought I would share something I discovered after a few hours of messing about with DeSmuMe.
People kept saying you have to use Ethernet, but if you install Hamatchi and then bridge
the virtual adapter it creates with the wireless adapter of the laptop, and then select
the Hamatchi adapter in the emulators WiFi settings, it will connect and play fine, without
    an ethernet connection.

Not sure if this has been said before, but I got a bit of help setting up the emulator from here
and this is one of the results of me playing around with it. =)

Edit: After trying it again on my desktop, it worked fine, but I realised you have to have Hamatchi active.

    Enjoy

Oh the firewall. I dunno, maybe. But you can allways disable it. =)
And @ adithyanj32, Ethernet vs Wireless, I didn't notice a difference. And this is for people who only have wireless. I don't care if you prefer Ethernet lol.

You dont need one. Do you know what wifi is? Heck do you know what wired is?

Also we cant understand your question.

    How do you bridge?

generally select two adaptors then right click and choose 'bridge'

I made a bridge using 2 networks but it still says no connection is present in the bridge and it shows a wire is needed.
I dont see how you can make it work with wireless when you need a wire to make the bridge network work.
What did you guys use as a bridge and can you make the steps lucid?

Also, if it were to work, would this connection allow us to trade between Platinum/Pearl/Diamond?
Would it also allow us to connect to anyone one in the world(with the GTS?)

you don't need a wire. All 'bridging' does is joins two network adaptors together.

Ok so how do you successfully bridge?
I tried bridging hamachine and local area connection and still wont work.
I even tried with a internet cable plugged into my laptop and nothing.
    Am i missing something?
