I noticed there were many n00blets wondering how to; - Be lazy and use cheats to complete Pokemon Pearl. -Getting to the 3rd gym and saving then loosing data. Now if you follow my guide correctly , you can be the pixelated Pokemon League champion and save like you were actually using a REAL NDS, OMFG! Now; I won't provide a link on where to download it because it's already on the site. Now lets get into it shall we? Step one; I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH BUT, DOWNLOAD WINRAR BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD POKEMON DIAMOND OR POKEMON PEARL. If you don't know what WINrar is please refer to Wikipedia because I have a life that doesn't include me going on about a simple unzipping program. If you do or don't have NO$GBA (The latest version) on your computer, DO IT NOW. When your Pokemon Diamond/Pearl file is successfully on your computer, load up the game and you will get a message. Now. Under Options; Click the Emulation Tab and Make sure you have the following settings; 'Emulation Speed, LCD Refresh' Unlimited MHz-Disaster (Because your constantly moving it emulates the closes speed of the actual game.) (Try UMHD 10% If you feel it's too slow for you) 'GBA Mode' VGA (poppy bright) 'NDS cartridge Backup Media' 512k Flash. 'Solar Sensor Level' Bright Sunlight. 'Sound Output Mode' Digital Mono. Sound Desired Sample Rate' Low 10khz. MultiBoot Normal/Burst Displays Fast/Fast Then you return to Options -> Save Options. Reset the ROM and enjoy. (Because there wasn't no$gba that supported quality sound, it will be "choppy" though out the game, meaning, every beat there is always a pause. (The newest version I suppose supports Wi-Fi.) When I try to do it my game freezes up but I dunnno.) CHEATING ON POKEMON PEARL Okay, now this is a Step by Step procedure. The very first thing to do is Google "POKESAV download" Then you need to download 'nos$gba to vba converter" Now; Load your Saved/New Game. Save IN GAME. Exit no$gba. 1. Unzip your Converter and under 'Configure' select your BATTERY folder. 2. 'Convert File' 3. Rename the original converted file the same name as your sav file. Meaning you would copy and paste the title of the rom into the converted sav file so no$gba notices the file as a Valid sav file. Open POKESAV and then open the Converted file. Just input the Pokemon you want to use/Poketech app's, events, w/e. Save over the file, and load your game. actually you edit the pokes in the boxes. doing so in the party really screws up the stats and you have to deposit them into a box in game for it to reset itself. (i hate having to do that)
nope you don't have to... oh, yeah this works... Here are some tips for using Pokesav app: > You can get pokemon with boosted EXP. Just keep your trainer gender the same, and for your party and boxed pokemon, keep the opposite gender for Trainer Gender. You can give them the Original Trainer Name and ID, and it will still give you boosted EXP. > Hit the "create" button for Value. You can change nature, gender, class, and shiny-factor of your pokemon. You'd want the best nature, and you'd want shiny. Male is the first "?", and female the second "?". Hit the first "?" for class. > Put a level in and edit happiness to 250 (max is 255). After you edit Nature, hit "stats edit" in the top left corner. Hit max stats, it will give the max stats for that nature. Change nature, and you must change max stats. Go Max Values on IV's, EV's and Condition (that's contest condition). > Do add items x995 (default) to your bag. I did x800, but x980 for rare candies. I also did x95 tms and hms, but did not use the HMs until I got badges. Hell, I'm very conservative with TMs. Go crazy! > You make about Y350,000 in the regular story + E4. Add about Y500,000. Any excess money, spend on coins (trust me, I spent extra money on about 50k coins - you can't edit the # coins). > You don't need a pokemon in the spot in order to add to the party. You will get the new edited pokemon in the party when you open the files. > You can get Shaymin, Arceus, and Darkrai. No problems. No hitches. Oh, yeah, you can get any pokemon you want. You won't be able to get data on them in the Pokedex. If you evolve a pokesav'd pkmn, you will get the new data on the evolved pkmn, but not the former prevolution. > You can get pkmn as eggs. Go to supercheats.com and get the super egg hatch. If you have started with Chimchar - hell you can start with any pkmn - you can change the Ability to Flame Body (or Magma Armor, but Flame Body is better for later - 30% burn chance on physical contact). Hyper EGG HATCH! And you will get the data for the basic pkmn to boot. I'm done. PM me for more info on Pokesav. Shadow
lol. with pokesav, why even be just a little bit conservative? i mean you can pretty much play GOD with it. why give yourself TMs when you can just click on a drop down menu for abilities? why use rare candies when you can edit exp and level? (if something evolves at lv 16, you put in lv 16, -1 exp point. that is, if you want the dex entry, and if you haven't already hit the full dex button.) why hatch eggs when you can "import" any of your pre set pokes via the museum? and still get the dex entry. (then edit out the origin part to make it look hatched or caught. if you want to "play" the game you can either not use cheats or use some codes on an action replay since it still requires you to boot up the NDS and play the game, where pokesav just needs a few edits here and there and the occasional "i actually have to start up the NDS for something?" edit: grammar check.
