i just checked it out, and there is an announcement saying
"Downtime

We received a letter from a lawyer represeting the CRIA, they were threatening with legal action and we need to start blocking Canadian traffic because of this.

man i have a feeling that it was a fake letter, i cant see the CRIA even caring about sharing, i think demonoid fell for some angry user sending them some fake CRIA letter.

plus i live in canada and im pissed now, i have having to use proxy to view my demonoid account.

 

I thought that there wasn't any law on downloading copyrighted material in Canada? I've heard this from many people. So if this is true. How can they get messed with? I thought that's why they moved their tracker from the Netherlands to Canada.
