I downloaded the game and its very very annoying and boring. I'm glad i didn't buy it.

It started off kinda fun, but it got really really repetitive really fast.

All the zombies act the same, there are no unique zombies like in left 4 dead.
Your character runs really slow at the start its rediculas.
Talking to characters is annoying since as you are trying to talk to them zombies try to attack them & you.
The boss battles are randomly hard.
    The save system is annoying.
    Slaying zombies gets boring.
The story line was short but i am thank full since it took hours to wait for storyline missions to appear.
You get bombarded with repetitive rescue missions.
You can easily damage and kill your allies by accident.
    Weapon durability sucks.

Eventually near the end all i did was play black jack until story missions appeared.
I just finished the game today & good riddens.
Plus the final boss battle is lame.

I think it's fun, when you're mindlessly going to case to case, it gets repetitive, but then I play co-op with my husband and all we do is run around the area and just kill zombies and find out combo cards. I find that part fun, also I like fighting the psychopaths, they're hard but it's entertaining.

    I am liking it.

yha that true but i hate l4d and l4d2. there no story to them. i mean it coll how it works but. it just that you got to get from point 1 to point b.

deadrising and deadrising 2 tells what happens. i would spend money on a game that tells a good story then spend money on a game that you put you some where.

Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising have zero in common except that they are both zombie games. The play styles are drastically different. Last I checked, Dead Rising didn't act as an FPS zombie shoot 'em up. Left 4 Dead is made to feel kind of like an advanced style arcade game, and that's what it is. The game gets severely difficult on the expert difficulty.

I found Dead Rising to be very repetitive with too many factors that could screw you over for the entire game. I can only start from day 1 so many times before I just want to put the game down and never pick it back up. That's exactly what I did though. I played the first day many times, advancing as far as possible, and just screwing around a lot of the time. The screwing around got dull, and the bosses were stupid difficult a lot of the time.

I had hoped Dead Rising 2 would rectify these issues, but it seems it's just Dead Rising in a new place with different characters.

I was trying to make the point that the zombies are boring and are practically all the same in dead rising 2, unlike the different types of zombies you encounter in left 4 dead which makes the game more interesting.
I never said that dead rising 2 should be like left for dead. I was only using left for dead as an example to get my point across.

& yes boss battles where sh*t.

Exactly the same here, I started again and again and eventually got bored.
I too was hoping they had fixed the repetitiveness but it doesn't sound like they have.
I'll probably pick it up for £10 after christmas just to have a go, its not something im going to pay full price for.

In terms of time limit you guys, there's a longer time frame to complete them or show up somewhere, the first game it was incredibly easy to fail a case, now it's harder to.

That being said I can see killing zombies getting tiring, but I mostly enjoy running past and inbetween them with survivors behind me and crafting weapons and using them.

The worse thing about the game, and the first is how clunky Chuck and Frank move, it's almost unbearable at the beginning.

I saw some videos in the youtube, I think it's so cool, I'm downloading it since yesterday.
If it's cool enought, and if a shop here have the original, I might try it in original version.

If you enjoy it hopefully you will buy it because im sure the "terror is reality" online feature seems fun.

I usually demo games before I get them. dead rising 2 I didn't demo and just got it anyway. I made the best choice of my life ever.

0.Those gas zombies near the end are a bitch, smack one and they swarm, THESE are all we need...and besides, this is possibley the best choice, and btw THIS IS NOT LEFT FOR DEAD!
1.You have no respect for capcom -_-
2.You upgrade in running pace as you go, but if you cheat to level 50 like a friend did you won't see how the progression works, hell there are vehicles to use like cars, suv's and bikes
3.Talking to people/doing actions in REAL TIME is meant to keep you on your toes, you can still attack while talking to people
4.When your level 50 with a combo weapon or you learn boss patterns, they become quite easy (the boss battles)
5.This was carried over from the first game, it works fine for me
6.Not if you try out all the weapons or try sticking a whole bunch of crap onto a zombie (2 paitings, a barrle and a mask=XD)
7.It was made for the american audience, go watch "the expendibles" and you'll agree that's also crap, it wasn't meant to be a heart gripping story...but in a way it's kinda political (about the zombrex creation method, etc)
8.You can skip those missions...but let me tell you, having 8 survivors, in a 2 player co-op and trying to keep those people alive is a bloody good challenge
9.It's meant to keep you on your toes (about hitting allies), they even defect after a bit.

I had to change tatics, i normally used a spiked bat with standard swing, but near allies I use single hit (hold attack button) to
    avoid killing them.
10.There ar emagazines that help, and you can have alot more weapons with more upgrade slots, you need to use weapons smartly.

Now, I had the wii port of the first game, compared to this, I had to skip a few missions...this added a hetic nature (in the wii one you had to do the survivor missions before story, and there was basically no time limit), and i enjoyed this.

Near the start your meant to be weak and slow, I am greatful at the new special moves (FLYING ELBOW DROP) as they do help kill anything around.

Yes, killing zombies can get boring after a bit (especially if your going for achevements, 72,000 I think for one???) but with the right weapons, and if your in one of those rage out and kill moods, watching them go SPLAT is seriously FUN!

Also, this game is DESIGNED for the fans of the first, many of the old game's flaws are intact, and that is where the appeal lies.

If you don't like what this game brings, do capcom a favour, delete your downloaded copies, and make sure no one else downloads them ethier, I want capcom to make a third some day....I LOVE THIS GAME!

BTW, the makers of left for dead also love the game.

Mate I know how the game works and what they were trying to achieve *sigh*
I was just giving my opinion lol sheesh. Thank you for pointing out the obvious facts man -_-
& cap com belongs in the arcade, not the PC
Resident evil 5 was a big let down. It was practically an arcade style game that was ported over to the PC. Arcade games belong in the arcade not the PC (apart from Metal slug :D).
Street fighter 4 belongs in the arcade not on PC
Capcom creates arcade style games, they belong in the arcade, not the PC. How ever i am looking forward to Lost planet 2 for PC even though i have never played lost planet.

Now, clearly you stand strong that this game is awesome, so i will now bend over and present my self to you for the belting i shall receive...* hands over the whip*

& second of all, i do not care about left 4 dead -_- i only used the game as an example. I no way did i say dead rising 2 should be like left 4 dead. Why do i have to repeat myself.>
"I was trying to make the point that the zombies are boring and are practically all the same in dead rising 2, unlike the different types of zombies you encounter in left 4 dead which makes the game more interesting.

I just dont like the dam game and i explained why. I do not need to be lectured on how the dam game works and why i should "respect" Capcom.

...Awaiting your angelic, kind and insightful reply. :)

Well obviously I'm a console gamer, and I like my arcade games, and I greatly dislike pc games (I also use a laptop, it handles re5, and I bought re5 pc, in the end I bought re5 gold edition on ps3 and have been happy since :) )

Long story short, watch, read reviews, and stick to pc suited games.

Capcom isn't for everyone, and just about anything capcom makes I will love.

Also, I did give my opion as well, I knew what i was expecting when I got this game (though it kicked my ass a few times, now I'm in awe of my dead rising 2 friends since I knew stuff they didn't, too busy trophy hunting to find vodka in bins XD)

Left 4 dead gave a new standard in zombie games, I just want hoards and haords of zombies that are like typical movies zombies, brainless and in masses.

I await your reply (insightful...way to make yourelf seem friendly :D)

PS-Lost planet 2 is gonna be much the same deal, so I'd advise you leave that game well alone, at over 150+hours trying to get everything from the game with all DLC's, and from your expectations...IT'S AN ARCADE BLASTFEST!
    Post Merge: [time]1286189532[/time]
Infact I'd advise trying out the first lost planet game, lost planet 2 requires alot of co-op action, as the ai bots are kinda crap, I play better running on my own than 3 stupid bots that can't do nothing but die.

Number 1 is you-vs the world, very much like contra and metal slug...but as I said, it might not suit you.

I admit this game is fun...its just not....enough, i cant really explain it.
Although there is plenty of variety when it comes to redicuals weapons, i don't really see anything else in the game.
I respect your point of view. Hell man, if i had an xbox 360 or PS3 i would totally love console games.
But i have no job and all i have is a fairly good PC. All i can really play is PC games (downloaded) so i guess I'm just used to those sorts.
I don't support piracy, but...its cost efficient. If i had a job i would totally buy my own games, but i dont know if i would bother buying and xbox ect. I prefer the mouse and keyboard since you have more options(more keys to press & better aim with the mouse).

Don't get me wrong man, Capcom makes quality games, but they are arcade style & they just dont belong on the PC imo. They probably make one of the best quality games for console and arcades.
It just annoys me how they can never get it right on the PC. Hopefully Lost planet 2 will feel like Gears of war, its an awesome game :D

I only support piracy on older games/EA and THQ crap (hell my eb games scam has bumped my ps2 collection from 10 to 100 games without a single download :D)

Well a game isn't always for anyone, I know that if not for trophies I'd be basically done with the game (going for 3rd story run).

I grew up with consoles and thus I'm a console gamer, and my ps3 (to keep running) is by far the most expensive I had to worry about...

I guess capcom are just making the games availble to those who can't normally experience them (that and more cash for them XD).

And no, I seen gears of war, you'd be better off with dark void (despite what it promises that's a cover shooter) or another game, lost planet 2 isn't a proper cover shooter but a frag fest, and the multi player get's alot of spamming (Just watch out for "buster" grenades...your mind will be blown by the explosion radius!) and to a newb you'll die often...

I do advise trying out the first game.

That's the biggest bullshit I ever heard, no disrespect with you in particular, but please.
Games are and can be in all systems, I played in consoles back in the days and now I play in PC, every has it pros and against, but that what you said that it's an arcade game and can't be in PC, I LOL'd on that, I see no valid arguments there, I have no trouble dealing with keyboard, in fact I deal better with it than a controller.
RE 5 PC version is the best, the graphic and PhysX was optmized, not to mention a few bugs were fixed and control config was pretty easy.
Tell me why can't games be in PC?
Did you forget where they're made from?
Do you think a console build games from all the sudden? Please dude...
So even with this you said that back there?
I don't wanna trouble, I just wanna know better...

I'm guessing English isn't your first language.(don't get me wrong, you speak good English) I had a bit of trouble piecing together some of what you said.
    Anyways;
The majority of arcade style games don't belong on the PC, the PC deserves better.
Sure I find some arcade games fun like Metal slug, Pacman and other small games like that. But making large arcade games for PC is just a waste of time, they get so repetitive. Theres so much repetition in arcade games.
Ofcourse RE5 had good graphics, PC games always have better graphics than consoles since consoles get outdated very easily. RE5 was just the same stuff all over again, yes there were many different boss battles and enemies therefore different tactics needed to be used but when it came to weapons all it really came down to was using 1 main tactic= conserve limited ammo. Thats all i really got out of it -_-
It was a good arcade game! but it doesnt deserve to be on the PC.

Now for the stuff i dont really understand:
"Tell me why can't games be in PC?"....what? I never said that.
"Did you forget where they're made from?"...what exactly do you mean by that? are you referring to the history of console/arcade gaming? or the development of games on PC?
"Do you think a console build games from all the sudden? Please dude..." ....what? 0.o
"So even with this you said that back there?" Even with what? can you be a bit more specific?

Incase you haven't realized, i do not hate arcade style games. The point i am trying to make is that they don't belong on the PC. The pc should be used for more in depth and quality games that have lots of variety in them.

I just realized that i am complaining about arcade style games...on a console gaming forum -_-, no wonder why people oppose XD

Theres no need to get offensive here, its not as if my opinion will effect anything...

OK, ok, sorry if I sounded pissed off or thing like that, no, no I don't have English as my native language.
I was just tryng to understand better your point of view. Again, sorry if my limited knowledge in English haven't let you see this.

"Tell me why can't games be in PC?"

    I mean the arcade ones.

"Did you forget where they're made from?"

    Both history and development.

"Do you think a console build games from all the sudden? Please dude..."

This I mean like, huh...like if a console has the technology to build a game, better yet, develop the Engine to work in a determinated game.

"So even with this you said that back there?"

I mean that even you saying those things about PC, you still say that arcades can't be played in PC, not that they can't literary, but in a manner od speaking, like if they're not good in PC.

Again, I apologize if I sounded too much idiot and troll.
