Darkest NDS game available today

I'm after the darkest, most disturbing NDS game released so far. Would like an RPG, would take an adventure or action. I'm not talking gore or violence, more psychological. Must be in English.

Seeing as how Cantish asked for RPGs, I'd have to say Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume. I didn't play the entire thing (stopped after the first battle 'cause Chinatown Wars got in the way), but from the bit I did play, the story seemed pretty dark. You need to sacrifice your men to win certain battles, and you even kill your best friend in the beginning.

 

You can choose to not destroy your allies, and find another way to gain power. It is harder, but you get a better ending.

It's up to you, be evil, or be good.

Ah, thanks for that. Like I said, I only played the first battle, and the game made me kill the character's best friend. As for the choice between good and evil, who wouldn't pick evil? Mwuahahahaha! But yeah. If Cantish wants a dark RPG, I'm sure he (or she) would choose the darker route.

I'll try dementium, looks promising, although a little actionish.

I've tried Valkyrie Profileand although it looked interesting I get attached to my characters and can't bare to see them die, so I'd have to take the non-dark way. =P

 

Guess I was wrong...It's still nice to that there are people who get so attached to the characters in games that they can't bear to see their digitized companions die. Come to think of it, most people I've seen on Romulation are like that... I love this site!

Ahhh yes, Theresia is lovely and dark, I tried it a wee while ago and found the controls somewhat annoying. I might have to go back again now you're reminded me of it.

Dementium is good and all, but the combat urks me, I'm no after scares so much as a wonderful mind screw.

Lux-Pain is a good example, but I love my DS and all that lower screen scrubbing just seems wrong.

The darkest game I've ever played was Dementium:The ward. It literally made me crap my pants when i saw the first zombie.
Silent Hill is pretty scary as well, But is it just me, or are the controls broken in that game?
