daemons?

    daemons(computing) is not the same as demons is it?

    In the popular book 'The Northan Lights' daemons were creatures connected to their person that died whenever that person died.
    I also understand that in some cultures Daemons and Demons can mean the same thing.

    no, a daemon in Linux is the same as a service in Windows. Basically its a background program that provides a service or function.

    a Daemon is usually a background process in linux, where's a demon is an entirely different thing. ;)

    oh ok good because i dont like to have any thing related to demons or demonic things so thats good that deamons have nothing to do with demons now i can download Daemon Tools

    well the 'Terms & Conditions' as you put it is  not having anything that symbolizes evil whether it be a name, number, symbol or anything like that. and demons symbolizes evil

    im not trying to sound to offensive but that's just how i feel about it

    not when I was a christian they weren't, and if they are now then the religion is being changed and that is a serious warning to get out.
