Hello Guys 8D~ Well..; it might be a newbie question, but i was thinking here O if i put CycloDS firmware on a microSD and put it in my R4 SDHC Cartridge, will it work? please don't call me n00b T_T i'm just curious ._. Thank You !
You have to put both firmwares on the card for the R4 to work. The R4 can only use DSTT firmware and R4 firmware if it isn't a clone.
And the thing about the CycloDS firmware is unlike many cards, it's menu/firmware file is not a .NDS file. It's a special update which flashes the internal memory of the CycloDS. This also makes it so that you can put a fresh memory card in a CycloDS, with no files on it, and it still works. The CycloDS firmware is stored on the internal flash memory, only skins, cheats, and a configuration file (without it, they just use default values) are stored on the MicroSD
Because of this, TeamCyclo would only need a new update to get around any updates, If it worked on a DSI
