Hey sorry to bother but i have a cyclo ds evolution for my ds, was convinced into it by a friend who said n64 roms will work on it, so ive been trying for some time to get them to work and im stumped and getting frustrated. I'm new to a lot of this so maybe im not understanding all the lingo and missing an easy way to fix my problem that is already posted so if so i apologize but here is the sitch:

I downloaded Banjo Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64 from here from the rom section, extracted them using winrar, then uploaded the resulting folders into the root directory of my ds, im thinking i might need an n64 emulator to get them to play but i dont have the foggiest clue which one is best suited to use on the DS, all the ones on the related site that romulation mentions shows operating systems and other requirements so i dont think it'd work well with the ds or cyclo.

Secondly if i did extract them i saw in another thread that you dont need ALL the files cuz for example donkey kong is like 400mb unpacked and has many different files, supposedly according to the other thread you pick the main one and it's usually designated by a U at the end or possibly a (I) or something. Is this correct? All i really want is to play the actual game, im a huge n64 fan and i got this thing mainly cuz of my extreme disappointment at the lack of ports for the ds.

If anyone has any other further good advice that i havent asked for to make my life easier i am totally all ears, fairly technically inclined, just dont know where to look on here because again i dont understand all the lingo yet so i might seem rather noobish but i learn fast!

    Thanks to whoever responds!

Your friend was wrong, N64 ROMs won't work at all since the system isn't powerful enough to handle them to my knowledge.

Your friend is definitely wrong, N64 ROMs will not work on the DS at all.

considering N64 doesnt even work on the PSP the DS doesnt stand a chance.
