CRC fail ????

Hi can someone help me as nearly everything i download keeps apparently coming out corrupt when i try and either unzip or extract via rar?
Message is always CRC failed due to corrupt file ect ect, ive tried re downloading and also holding Alt whilst pressing go on the download to use system's settings but still no good :-\
Please help as it's doing my head in now ???

 

Are you using wireless internet prehaps-or a really slow connection?

That may explain why.

Get a download manager to save the downloads-you can pause them (over night if you must) and continue.

 

I'm pretty sure this used to happen to me as well. Not quite sure if i can help you. Have you tried saving the file? Ummm. Maybe if you google winrar errors it might be able to help you but im not sure.

Make sure you are using the latest version of Winrar. Older versions may have problems opening files compressed with the newest version (compression algorithm changes).

Just an update to all trying to help me on this sticky problem, i'm running 20meg broadband and have since as per you kind replies connected directly to internet and not wireless, tried downloading via flashget download manager and still keep getting the dreaded CRC fail when unzippin/rar.
As an example the Guitar Hero's on Tour for the DS from this site.

 

Make sure you are using the latest version of WinRAR.
