could really use some help (SOLVED THANKS )

    hi there

    i used to have a ds lite and r4 card when i sold them i took the files off and kept them on my pc for if i ever bought another
    that way i dont have to start from scratch on my fave games
    so i have just bought another ds and i bought a r4 card but my system files dont work on it now nothing comes up just a
    black screen that says SD/TF card error
    i have tried d/ling various other firmware but thats all that keeps coming up
    can anyone dumb down for me what i need to do where i need to go e.t.c ?

    i just want to play my games !! :'(

    you clearly bought a different card to the one you had before, so it requires a different firmware. What is the website written on the box for the new card?

    it didnt come in a box the website i bought it from was http://www.r4ds-ds.com/
    but on the little card the website says www.r4ds.com

    i have been on the r4ds site d'led the file it said to
    copied it to 2bg micro sd ,
    still black screen saying SD/TF card error
    also tried moonshell file
    copied files to 2gb memory card
    same thing keeps happening

    dont know how to fix :(

    Sounds like your microSD is corrupted, a format using the Panasonic SDFormatter may solve the issue, if not then you will need to use a different microSD.

    ive formatted it loads but it shows on the computer i have 2 micro sd's both
    2 gb and neither of them work in my r4

    What's the chances of both of them being dud's? did you check the contacts on them to see if they need a clean?

    i have added the chipmonks folder to the games folder with the .nds file in just like i always used to
    really annoying me
    as soon as i plug the r4 in the start screen comes on tap and then it goes black SD/TF card error :eek:

    ah thanks so much for your help figured out how to format to fat / 32 and it WORKS !!!!!!!
    yes thanks it doesn't read my old save files any ideas lol :-\
