Hi, I've checked google and got no useful results.

    ...

    Here's the idea:
Somehow, a few days ago, my version of explorer.exe was corrupted. Can anyone who has 'Vista Home Professional 32bit' upload their non-corrupted version of explorer.exe? It can be found in C > Windows.

    Thank you in advance!

um... if you have access to another computer, just copy it onto a CD or flash drive... probably would be safer than having someone give you the exe (some people like to hand out viruses)

Would getting it from an XP computer and moving it to a Vista work?

probably not. Can't you extract it from your vista disc?

AAAAAAAHHHHH!! I'm sorry for the double post, but I tried to extract it from the CD, and I was unsure how, so I got some help from my dad, I booted the cd, did "boot from CD" and there was a loading screen. Then I waited, and it asked me to install windows. I chose "repair" and chose the first option('startup' something). Then, it went to work. I went outside, some time passed. When I got back inside, the process was done. I checked the diagnostics, and it told me nothing I was interested in. I asked my dad, and he said it should work, but then when I logged in, it still happened!

    Help please!

so the explorer.exe is still corrupt? if you have another computer(or a live linux distro) just pop the cd in, and look inside it for explorer.exe and copy it to a flash drive or something then put it in vistas windows folder. but if you cant navigate to that folder in vista then your gonna have to use Linux or something like it that to transfer it

I'm not sure, but on old windows cds files like explorer.ex_ can be unpacked with a tool called EXTRACT.EXE (i386 dir).

Lolz. I got the same problem as you did. I formated my computer, but got the BSOD afterwards and after that bullshit I formated my PC again but the BSOD didn't go away.

    So I installed windows 7

But Windows 7 beta is over now. I could just re-install my computer... I guess I will eventually.

But it isn't internet explorer that's the problem.

    It's "Explorer.exe" that is corrupted.
