corrupted files

    whenever i try to drag files on my cart it says the file is corrupted i cannot be copied even on new roms i download. existing games on cart still work
    i am using r4sdhc v1.18 and i bought it from here http://www.r4i.co.uk/

    You mean when extracting ?
    Try re-downloading it using a Download Manager, and update your Winrar to the latest version.

    no i mean i download the games put them in a folder on my computer then copy them onto my r4 but when i try and copy the files on it says they are corrupted but i my brother can copy files onto his.

    have you got winrar or 72-zip?
    if you do double click on the rom/download and then winrar should popup and drag and drop the file to the r4 (most of the time the nds rom has number in a text ex 3625-XXXXXXX-X-XXXX)

    Are you sure it's not saying it's the MicroSD card that's corrupted? I know it's a silly question, but maybe you just mis-read it.

    sorry i made my post confusing this is what i do i download a game from a site into a folder on my computer not my sd card. i extract it all using rar frog and extract in to the folder on my computer then i copy the files on my sd card but it says there corrupted and cannot be copied but it does copy onto to my brothers sd card.

    try formatting your sd card

    its formatted to fat 32

    maybe it has something to do with your flash cart, how do you use your flash cart?

    maybe the card reader that you are using is defective....

    I use FAT... not fat 32...
    hmm... we're meant to use fat32? oops...

    Try REformatting it and see if that helps?

    If its R4 it uses FAT32

    I have an R4i... weird... my R4 is FAT too... oh well, I'll reformat it later since I don't really use it anyway...

    Anyway; on topic: You download the ROMs fine, extract them fine, move them around on your PC with no drama until you try to put them on your SD card? You brother uses the same ROMS and equipment as you with his SD card and has no trouble... Try reformatting your SD.

    oh sorry it uses FAT too..
    I remember N5 uses FAT 32....>_<

    on topic: or try replacing your micro sd reader....
