convert genesis roms

    anybody know of a utility to convert .gen roms to .bin roms? i'm trying to run some games in PSP Genesis, but half of my games are .gen files, which don't work in that emulator.

    Yeah here's one that a guy made because he had the same problem as you. http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=28188 I'm not sure if it can convert .gen to .bin. Just try it out.

    yeah i looked there. i looked everywhere. can't even find any mention of .gen roms. they all came from the same site (not here, all roms here are .bin). they work on my PC emulator just fine...

    maybe i'll just find .bin versions of those roms.

    I personally have never encountered .gen roms, most of mine are .smd with a few .bin

    Yeah most of them are in .smd and there's loads of .smb to .bin converters around but not many people have encountered .gen so they never made a solution to it.

    i got mixed around. all the roms i downloaded elsewhere are .bin, but all the ones i got here are .gen files!

    anyway i'll just scrap those and go get different versions...

    Yeah just do that and get ones with .smd or .bin.
