Hello, im using free download manager + flashget extension of firefox in downloading romulation games. Recently i downloaded [PSX]Legend of Mana and for some unknown reason(because i was asleep) my download ended at a frustrating rate of 99%. Is there someway i can continue this download without making a new one? i tried continuing it like any other download but it says invalid username and password. please help.
do the file names have to be the same? after the first download i tried another download, and when i read your reply i stopped the second download to try it. My first attempt was successful in resuming the second download which was 29% so i deleted it to try it in my first download which was 99%. however it did not resulted in the way it should...did i do something wrong or is there something i did not do?
Yes the filename has to be the same. Also FDM won't resume because it doesn't resend cookies on resuming for some reason.
Sadly, I can't get downloads to resume from any dl manager.. I've already tried Flashget, FDM, DownThemAll, GetRight and Internet Download Accelerator. :-\ What am I doing wrong? -saved as the same file name -pretty sure they all use cookies -set them to download one thread/piece/chunk at a time -I'm on firefox using the flashgot extension Great site tho.

Then I get that "Error occured!" message and it disconnects. What's going on here? Are there any options I have to change around to allow resuming? Oh and for the other download managers, I either got a 403 Forbidden error or a Unknown Error message.

that isn't good enough, if they don't it won't work. Find out if they are sending cookies or not, it will be in the configuration.
Well, FlashGet definitely uses cookies.. I can get that from this line: Thu Jul 10 01:06:15 2008 Cookie: __utmb=147768372; __utmc=147768372; __utma=147768372.34530170.1215654490.1215654490.1215665186.2; __utmz=147768372.1215654490.1.1.utmccn=(direct)|utmcsr=(direct)|utmcmd=(none); RUID=a%3A3%3A%7Bi%3A0%3Bs%3A6%3A%22470680%22%3Bi%3A1%3Bs%3A40%3A%22795c663fa6e78b626cf7b5d1d4cac35006c7d1e3%22%3Bi%3A2%3Bi%3A1216259192%3B%7D Trouble is, it still doesn't resume..
The firefox entension you're using is FlashGot. Just about on every download with my Flashget, it always get stuck at 99%, until I pause and resume it again. I have tried resuming a download from RomUlation, but it never seems to work, so I give up.
Will have to look into this when I get back from vacation. Can't until then so it won't be changed for at least a week.
Greetings, so has there been any progress in allowing users to continue their downloads if they are interrupted due to disconnection...I use dial-up with FDM and I would really really really like to see the feature on this site that allows my FDM to resume its download...
