Consoles that become better when you emulate them?

Do any of you guys feel that a console can be better when it is properly emulated, instead of played as its original self?

I believe the virtual boy is the perfect example for this. If you played the original thing, you got headaches from it REAL easy and you couldn't see around you. With a proper emulator and a pair of 3D glasses, however, (I use VBJin svn61) not only do you have less or no headaches, the display is larger and you can actually see around you! And you really get to appreciate what 3D the VB had to offer.

So, you guys know of any other consoles that are better on emus?

I find playing NES & SNES games on emulators with video filters ON as a mind blowing experience :)

I like using the Visual Boy Advance with nice filters. Makes some of the games look awesome.

I like playing N64 games on an emulator. The graphics are much improved and it feels just freaking sweet to be able to do that!

Not a console but the commodore amiga.
Instead of swapping maybe 16 disks in and out you can just set them all up.
Also you can put the disk drive on turbo so the games load in seconds.
Winuae also allows you to set up fake hard drives, kinda like daemon tools lets you mount a disc in a fake drive. You can just install every game made to it.

Some of the best games were tailored specifically to N64 Pad though, it feels awkward using anything else via emulators.

I would say the Dreamcast is better emulated. I use a PS3 controller to play DC games on my computer, and they all run really smoothly (MVC2, CVS1, Shenmue). I wouldn't recommend using a keyboard for the DC emulator (same thought goes for the N64 emulators). The only downside of the emulation is that it takes a while to get used to knowing the configurations and etc. Otherwise, good gaming experience.

Very true. There are converters for N64 to PC, but I just use my GC to PC converter. Much easier and I find it better at times.

Yeah, the GC's is a better all-round pad, and most comfortable.
The analog stick on the N64 pad was terrible after using it for a while, it gave me blisters sometimes lol.

If its stuff like the NDS or GBA, then lolno. I prefer to keep portable games portable.
Dreamcast, abit since the controller was a nightmare.

True that. My finger would fly right off that joystick. The VMU was pretty neat though.

Every emulator except N64 and XBOX, pretty much
