{Confused} PSP Modding.

    I dont understand how i get the Custom Firmware. D=

    Does it automatically have it on it or something. D=

    I'm Sorry I post too much about how I don't understand.

    Also, I don't Understand, Do the game files Need to be CSO or can i have them as ISO?

    No...first you need a PSP which doesn't have the new non-moddable motherboard. If your PSP is hackable, you'll need to get a Pandora battery (cheap at DealExtreme) or a Datel Tool Battery to put the PSP into service mode where you can then use a specially created memory stick(a magic memory stick created on your PC by using one of the very easy to use GUI's) to install custom firmware.

    Basically Hackable PSP + Pandora Battery + Magic Memory Stick = Modded PSP.

    Despertar del Cementerio includes custom firmware, when you use it to downgrade your PSP it will install 3.71M33. You can then download the latest CFW and upgrade to that. You can also just use network update on the PSP and it will download CFW.

    Either CSO or ISO is fine, CSO is just a compressed ISO. Most games play fine in CSO format, if they dont and freeze up or lag then convert them to ISO.

    Despertar del Cementerio v3 (the one which you're referring to) is OLD now...much better to use something like DJB's Pandora Deluxe GUI to go straight to the latest custom firmware. Also the network update feature only installs CFW if your current firmware is 3.80M33 or greater. If you ran it on 3.71 M33 you'd end up back on OFW.

    I updated from 3.71 via network to 4.01.....

    Also yeah last I knew DCv7 was out, there may even be a newer version. I found Despertar del Cementerio v7 much better than the pandora deluxe GUIs since it allowed you to dump the NAND.

    Check again because i'm 100% certain that you didn't...i know it's a feature that was implemented in 3.80 M33. And DdC is up to version 8, and whilst many of the GUI's don't do an auto nand dump (UPT does for the record), with the advent of DdC v7 and IDStorage regeneration it's no longer the necessity it once was.
