It just randomly started making the beeping noise. I shut of the speakers and that didnt work. I shut it down and unplugged it and that didnt work. I listened and the sound was coming from inside the computer itself. Its and acer laptop and the noise came from just below the keyboard.

It finally stopped the noise but it still worries me a bit

Any ideas whats wrong with it?

if it occurs while the computer is in use its usually an overheat alarm.

If it is an overheating issue, it's probably fan related. Clogged vents, fans not turning, etc.

The beeps mean something, Bios or POST beep codes, what ever they are called. I think they vary by brand, etc. You may be able to find the specifics of your beep code if you look it up online.

correct, but since the computer only performs the POST immediately after power on, beeping during use is virtually always an overheat warning regardless of bios vendor.

Can laptops get clogged up since mine gets super hot or are laptops just more prone to getting hot due to less air circulation
