Right, I dont know what happened. But this morning when I turned on my computer, the display suddenly seem so compressed. Previously, all my wallpaper I used looks great but not, they are like being compressed vertically. Like as if the resolution has been lowered, but I checked it and it's still the same.

is the wall paper still set to 'stretch'?

try changing the resolution down and then back up.

    Not helping.
Anyway, yeah it's okay now when I set it to a higher resolution. But before this, the lower resolution works fine.

i've had a problem like that and it was the monitor playing up not the computer, check in your monitor menu to see if it looks right. also check your cables are in properly, itf they're falling out that can have the same effect.
other then that it could be your gfx card slowly dying

Sorry I should have been more specific. It's my laptop that's got the issue.

that can become expensive as it may be a hardware problem.

^ all of my old monitors wouldnt even turn on without being kicked, and my TV at the mo. needs a good bash to the side to fire it up.
