Compatibility Issues?

I'm using an Acekard 2i for my Flash Cart. However there seems to be a problem with some games. Bomberman DS and Nanostray 1 have cheat codes in the Acekard Cheat Databases, however, they won't load when I try to load them.

Is it possible that, the cheat file for this game is not compatible with the Acekard 2i?

 

Sounds like it could be your firmware. try upgrading your firmware to the latest!.

Or either try patching the roms, But it will be the firware i would say

 

So there's no compatibility issues? I don't think the firmware is the problem, can you link me to a tutorial on patching ROMs or show me how to patch them? (These two games are the only ones with issues when loading cheat files)

EDIT: Well on the downloads pages none of the files I need are available. Can I get a link to a working Arm7 or other patching tool so I can do this, please?

End Result: The autopatching to get the codes working is repeatedly failing. I'll enlist my roommate for help and if we can't patch it properly, together I'll set up a ROM request.
