Clueless about Gameboy Advance Cheats

I've got No$Gba, most recent version, and I'm lost with the whole cheating thing... I've looked around, not only on this website but around others as well.

I keep getting these error messages:


If anyone could really help me out, perhaps step by step how to properly download/run cheating tools and use them with games?

NO$gba emulator plays DS games not GBA games

 

Not sure about that one, I got Pokemon Sapphire and Metroid Fusion to work on it.

 

no$gba is able to play both GBA and NDS games.

Have you tried redownloading the game?

 

Yes I have. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Edit: or possibly use a different emulator like Visual Boy Advance? I think I'm just not extracting the cheat things right, or not opening them with the correct program *which I have no idea, I guessed the emu itself*
