Cloud was also a trained soldier so emotion comes second

Tidus was just a blitzball superstar so whining comes naturally

 

Meh.I think the best FF characters are the villains like Kefka,Seph,etc.
If that is not sufficient-EAT THIS AURON!!!The "true" hero!!!
He has a giant katana and he can stomp Cloud with ease.
With him in the party,Tidus is practically useless.

 

Gameplay-wise and usefulness I go for Cloud.

Vahn
Squall

i think he wasn't. he failed to get into soldier, he made it all up

 

But in the game, he was clearly a soldier third/second class.

Ugh... Vahn...
Vahn always sounded like he had a perpetual cold (he was really nasal is what I'm trying to say here boy).

He seemed really 2D (even by the standards of the other characters mentioned here). I thought that the other male party members and Fran were far more interesting and well-built. The character arcs in that game were pretty shoddy at times though - I heard that this was because the game had a troubled development and that Balthier was originally going to be the main character, but Square-Enix's marketing department forced the development team to go with Vahn the scrotum because they thought that he would be more "appealing" : /
Anyhow, I think that Cloud is more appealing because I find myself enjoying his brand of brutal-emo-angst despite myself.

AHhhhh....Celes the once general of the the empire...took care of Cid when he was on his deathbed...Ahhh the Opera Scene...Incredible..one of the best moment in gaming...

 

Not to mention Kefka-At least the only villain who managed to destroy the world.FF6-the only FF that had its world plunged into apocalyptic world.
