Chrono Trigger keeps freezing (Not the Time Warp)

    Hey guys. I have this problem with Chrono Trigger, where it keeps freezing right when Marle steps on the teleport pod, and the pod starts screwing up. It's pissing me off, because I've tried this on 3 roms and I still get the same issue. I'm using a 2GB micro SD card, and it didn't do this on my old 1GB micro SD card.

    Also, I'm using an R4.

    Any suggestions?

    Backup your files, format your MicroSD, and put the latest DSTT/Ysmenu firmware on your card.

    I already tried that. It seems like it's a problem with the ROM itself.

    Not likely. It's a problem with your flashcart/firmware/MicroSD. The ROM is a good dump. You said yourself the ROM worked on your 1GB card.

    Use the latest Ysmenu/DSTT firmware and the clean ROM. I believe the game doesn't need to be patched on 1.17a12.
