NOt sure if I would called it an error. In anycase, the game just stays on the teleporter scene right at the beginning when crono goes after marle. Looks like we need a patch or hopefully the US version will not have this "feature" in it.

lawl, it's anti-pirate at work buddy. it's FFCC all over again, just wait for the patch.

It's not anti piracy shit, it's just flash carts that can't handle something new, I'm tired of people crying anti piracy methods without a shred of evidence.

are you sure? it's seems to have "check points" and everyones cards are failing to pass these points.

My Cyclo has had problems with some games lately as well. Chrono Trigger and Star Wars Jedi Alliance being the two most notable ones. both of which are rumoured to have anti-piracy features. not that it matters since no doubt some of the technical genuises will create a patch that bypasses said anti-piracy features. incidentally if anyone happens to have either a patch or a version confirmed to work on Cyclo Ds Evo? if you'd be so kind as to let me know where i can acquire them. tried 3 versions of Star Wars from this very site and not one of them worked. locked up as soon as i clicked new game. every single time.

OR just a new firmware, which is a lot easier. http://www.gbatemp.net/ would have things available like that.

solution found. extract files into folder, put original rom file into the folder, run "run_this_to_patch_ct" and put the patched rom onto your card, and viola, epic win. i have gotten past both the teleported and the church piano thingy :) and for ref i have an Ncard ;D

So I can't get Chrono Trigger to load at all just get the "please reinsert the cart" error message. I do the arm7 fix, using DSLazy, which brings the file size from 128mb to 81mb.

What am I doing wrong? My arm7 patcher used to never have problems like this.

For one, Kylock, you don't need to Arm7 patch this one.
For two, actually look at those GBATemp links. Dude by the name of Narin posted Action Replay codes that bypass the anti-piracy measures.

For those who have a DSTT (like me), do not try to start this game after it has patched. Or at least, back up your SD card data before you try. Someone mentions it erases all the information on the SD and I can confirm that it really does.

Patched the game from a separate folder containing just the rom and the patch file, copied the patched version and booted up my DS. The menu loads fine, but when I tried loading the game it came up with a double white-screen. After I restarted I got an "Error!" in red text. I checked my SD card and it was in fact wiped. There no more partition on it, the properties showed a Raw file system and 0 bytes of space. I had to reformat it and and copy the data I backed up.

For the record, I did not update my dstt firmware before trying it. I guess someone could try with the newest firmware and see if it makes a difference.

If you play this on NO$GBA 2.6a, do you still need to have the patch? I started, and am using the unpatched ROM, and am just wondering if it'll lock up on me when I reach the teleporter.

It could do, no$gba isn't good with FAT patches.

While the patch seems to work, the ds-x seems to need a arm7 fix to run the ROM. It appears that running an arm7 fix after the patch undoes the patch and running that patch after the arm7 fix fails to patch.

the actionreplay codes have been posted in the tutorial section. They should possibly work on emulators.

Doing a arm7 patch is replacing the arm7bin with another from another game, so yes it undos it. DSTT don't really run patched games all too well, my old one worked fine however.
