Ok. I have been having issues with emulating Chrono Cross on my dinky little system. At certain points in the game, where the screen is (supposedly) getting warped, ePSXe fails to generate a proper image, and instead yields a near-black screen like this.

Now, this has only been an inconvenience so far, but right now, I'm at a part of the game where I have to move around, literally blinded. It gets really irritating when you can only see your surroundings once you've run into an battle.

Does anyone know a way to get rid of that black screen? My emulator video configuration is here, if it's any help.

    Thanks in advance!

unfortunately I'm not currently in a position to try and reproduce your problem, however I have a few suggestions of things to play with:

    texture filtering
    hi-res textures
    off-screen drawing
    framebuffer textures
    alpha multipass

try different combinations of different values for these. Also try different video plugins, and you might want to consider dropping the resolution to 800x600 as that is native PSX resolution.

Changing the framebuffer textures to (3) worked. Now I can find my way around easy.

    Thanks again! ;D
