Chrono cross disc changing help!!

i'm playing Chrono cross in my PC using epsxe emulator, when it ask to change the disc i pressed esc button, then change CD > iso, then i cliked on the cd 2, but the game crashed.. unlike final fantasies in psx ( VII,VIII,IX) it doensn't have save-right-before changing CD feature so i can't just change the disc by just restarting the emulator and change to disc 2 manually...
can anyone help??

 

You using ePSXe 1.7.0 ?
I heard before that the previous versions have better compability when changing disc, never tried it though.

 

If that happen, save the game first by using the savestates option(F1) before the game ask to change the disc, and try to change the cd again, if the same thing happened again, load the game back using F3.

Which version of ePSXe did you use?

 

i use the 1.70 version, i'll try mega's advice

edit: f1 and f3 doesn't seem works...

Edit: i ran out empty CDs right now, maybe i'll try it tomorrow, because i'm too lazy to go to nearest software and cds store now
