Cheats won't display for Soul Silver

Hi, I know what you're thinking, "this guy's a noob who doesn't know that the cheat database for an R4 can't be over 4mb or 800 games"
Well, that's not right, because obviously I know that anyways... on to my problem. The Cheats that I inputted for my Soul Silver fixed rom(childs play patch) are not showing up. I've used R4CCE to designate the correct rom, and they still dont show up. I am using an R4 with YSMenu if you'd like to know.

Did you modify the Game ID of the Soul Silver entry to match your new Game ID of the patched rom?

 

Yes I did

 

drag the pokemon soul silver cheats to a much higher place, ( put it in the "A" games) because I "think" R4 reads only the cheats of the first 500 games in that database...

 

I'll try it, but there are games lower in the alphabet that have cheats appearing, so I'm doubtful

oh sorry about that, but the game ID is correct right?
how about the format of the sav file is it for the R4?

 

Yeah, I used R4CCE to find the correct ID, and the sav file is correct, it still plays

 

yeah that is the right format for the r4, I wonder why it doesn't work for you?

ok, i have no idea what happened, but now it's working ??? ;D thanks for the help though

 

Attention!!!

copy an original rom to your micro SD,
original rom will show the cheats which will creat a .cht file
after that try to cheat with the patched and it will show (tested myself)
then you can get rid of original one
