Cheats not working and GTA: Chinatown Wars help

Some cheats my Acekard 2i don't work while the same cheats on my R4 do work. Example: GTA: Chinatown Wars. Cheats like infinite hp, car hp, walk thru walls don't work. When I try it on my R4, those cheats do work. I have tried updating both flash carts with the newest ak2loader, AKAIO 1.5, CHEAT.DAT, and v1.18 for R4. Anyone know why some cheats won't work on the Acekard 2i?

On GTA: Chinatown Wars, when I try to play multiplayer, multi card play, when I start the game with my friend, it keeps saying an error occurred or something like that so we cannot play. This is with an Acekard 2i and an R4. We both have the game and updated everything. Anyone know what is the problem? Thanks in advance.
