Most of us hate cheating because we believe in fair play. But my question is, Whats the difference if we are just using ROMs to play? Take for example WiFi, I've not been on Wifi before, But I heard alot of stuff that people cheat online. If we don't like that, How about other people who own the original copies of the games? Please post your opinions on A. Should cheating be treated the same way as using ROMs? B. If you say cheating should be treated worse, Why? C. If you say using ROMs is a bigger offence then cheating, Why? Please feel free to talk about the matter down here as I would love to find out more.
Cheating only sucks if it's used online. It's easier to cheat using roms since you don't have to buy a cheat device, it pretty much comes prebuilt in on the emulator or flashcart
But in my opinion, Cheating sucks even if your'e not playing online. It takes most of the fun out of enjoying a game.
Agreed. Why the heck bother using cheats in a game. Just try your best to get past the bit your stuck in or whatever reason you use cheats for.
See, In your opinion. In my opinion, i don't really care about cheating. If i try a game that has a really interesting story, then the worst gameplay ever, or more annoying gameplay (hello devil survivor and tactics games) then you better believe i will be cheating at it so i can check out the story,
The only game i have Cheated on is WC3:TFT for the campaign part mission. if you know the game. i cheated on the where Grom was attacke by Cenarious, i had a hard time reaching the fountain fast
As told above, cheating has no problem when it's offline, but when you cheat online you'll be banned from the server (IP ban). I don't like cheating either, but I like when pirated games are able to be played online.
OK, so mindless level grinding & having repetitive random encounter battles are OK for you? Maybe if you have a lot of free time on your hands yes, but for me I, no as I don't So I cheat to max up my stats & buy everything I'd need & be able to avoid senseless random encounters so I can enjoy the game's plot even more. But I do agree with sylar1000's point, cheating does suck in an online game's setting as you are getting an unfair advantage against others.
of course using roms is the bigger offence... it's illegal. I don't cheat in games, I'm not afraid of challenge. Story/plot isn't my only interest in a game. Also, I fucking love tactics games. Devil survivor wasn't the best, but I thought it still had great gameplay.
LOL that's so sarcastic someone member of a site about downloading roms saying that it's illegal and it offends hahaha.
I don't cheat online, I used cheats on the GTA's (Not 4). I did on Pokemon on my Flashcart, just for fun, like x10 exp and everything, I only have one DS so it was just for that. Wasn't serious or anything. I used codes on the old arcade games that let you go to levels near the last one. I say, I just use cheats appropriately, as long as they don't disrupt the game or make me have an advantage over someone else. You know what I mean? That's unfair.
I ONLY cheat until after I beat the game. I DO NOT EVER cheat to get pass a certain boss or something. I only cheat for example I cheat the ultimate weapon just so I can check out how much damage it can do. after that, I just restart and don't save so I know what kind of weapon I should be aiming for.
FYI, you can't get special event Pokemon without cheating if you don't live near New York or Japan So think logical before you babble utter garbage like this.
Son these are people that cheat cuz they got job, family, they need large time to play without cheat, but they don't have time. Agreed, these are some games that the developers don't mind that will be a pain in the ass to beat the game, so cheat is on. But cheating online....another history... I was administrator of a server of SA-MP 0.3a (GTA San Andreas Online), that's not cool to take advantage of others, so the Ban hammer was aways ready.
Cheating online is completely different than cheating offline. First one you are cheating against other player, the second is against the computer. Like the guy said above. Depending of how horrible the gameplay is, cheats are always welcome.
If the gameplay was that horrible, I wouldn't want to play it at all, let alone with cheats. I reckon more games should have cheats as unlockables though, for experimental play. I just wouldn't use any on an initial playthrough.
i think..using cheats has a positive side and negative side. but, i prefer to use walktrough than cheat
