I want to get a cheapest pc possible for playing games like GTA IV, or CODMW2 but im not really someone who is good with knowing what i need. I live in europe and i have no idea what pc is good. I checked on DELL and i got a pc with these specs. Intel® Pentium™ Dual-Core processor E5200 (2.5GHz, 800MHz, 2MB cache)---CPU Windows® 7 Home Premium (32 BIT)--OS 1.024 MB 800 MHz Single Channel DDR2 SDRAM [1 x 1.024]---MEMORY 160GB (7.200 rpm) Seriële ATA-hard drive with 8 MB DataBurst™-cache---HARD DRIVE 1GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT220 (DVI, VGA, HDMI---GRAPHICS 16X DVD ROM For Win7---CD DRIVE is this good for games? and if i run some games like GTA IV will it lag?
First off you definitely need more ram. like 3-4 gb. then you should get a 64 bit os. Even if you do that you might not be able to play games on highest settings but probably medium or a little more cause you need a better graphics card like ATI radeon 4850 which is good.
sooo.. what about 2.048 MB 800 MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2 x 1.024] would that be better? It only costs 20€ more. A 3gb ram costs an extra 100€ more..
im not sure. They have 2 options on the website. i have selected the highlighted one. 16X DVD ROM For Win7 16X DVD+/-RW Drive For Win7
i think uc an read games with the highlighted one but you can't burn disks or anything. so u want to keep the highlighted one?
yeah, if its cheaper i would prefer to keep it like that. It would not make a difference to the game quality right?
Don't get a DELL Pc. Custom make your own, you get it cheaper and will make one much better than that.
If your going to do games like COD4MW2 or GTA IV i would suggest a better graphics card and a better processor I don't know if it's just me but i think of Intel Pentium Processors for Lower-end Word Processing and such and not so much for gaming. For about Twice more than the Pentium CPU i would suggest a Core 2 Duo. Such as this one: for $120 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115056 Core 2 Duo's Run pretty cool and provide good Processing power. ( But if you are REALLY CHEAP, you can go AMD (Make sure you get a Compatible Motherboard Because Intel and AMD used different Sockets(?) Anyways Here is a AMD CPU: for $90http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103252 2Gb RAM is fine, but if you Possibly can, get 4Gb even though you may not read more than 3Gb due to 32-bit OS the Extra RAM makes a big difference in Multi-tasking and speed. The Graphics card rupok suggested is a good one.
