I was just wondering if i changed the names of the .nds files on my r4 if it would mess anything up with the .sav not recognizing the data or anything like that, because i would like to remove some of the number codes and host names to clean things up a bit.

You need to keep the name of the ROM and the save file the same. Remember and add .nds to the rom name and .sav to the save file :)

Shouldn't be a problem as long as you rename the .nds and .sav to the same name. I do it with my M3 Real, but not sure about R4, so I guess to be safe back your files up first then try renaming them and see if it works.

    damn nex26 beat me! :)

Nothing will happen if you rename them incorrectly, the R4 would just ask you to create a new save with the same name as the renamed ROM (since the firmware doesn't detect it). The original files are not harmed in any way :)
