CFW for PSP

    HELP- i have a psp running cfw 3.71 and want to update it to a newer one BUT
    1) can i just update to the latest?
    2)how do i update?
    3) where do i get the updates(safe site)

    1.

    Not the officially latest, but I believe you can try the newer cfw's.

    2.

    You place the file into "GAME" on your psp and run it like...a game.

    3.

    I would advise JUST to be safe, to locate the "5.00m33v6" firmware before trying "5.50GEN D-3" which is the current standard.

    Yes, from experience with PSP's, I would go to M33-6 first.

    Then up to the GEN.

    I'm installing GEN on 2 PSP Phats tonight and have downloaded 5.00 M33-6 and 5.50 GEN-A, B, and D3 "Final Build". After I flash them first with the Pandora Method. :p

    Download for 5.00 M33-6
    Download for 5.50 GEN-D3 "Final Build"

    Just don't update or attempt to update to any of the MAD or MAC type cfws. They are fake.
