Firstly, thank you for such a wonderful abundance of .nds files! Secondly, I am relatively new to the DS flash cart scene and am wondering which is the right one for me. I like the idea of a SLOT 1 cart that I can fit a L A R G E amount of ROMs on although I have heaps of .gba ROMs which I would also like to play (is this possible through SLOT 1?). I've seen this 16Gbit DS-Xtreme thing floating about. Any good? Thirdly, anyone know where I can get a new, yet cheap, DS Lite which can be posted to the UK? Fourthly, thank you for your time! ;D
Hello, most slot 1 carts do not inherently have storage, you usually need a micro SD card, 1 or 2gb. I recommend the R4DS, it's versatile and cheap... Not sure about a cheap DS Lite though...
Ah! Separate memory card. That is versatile! I remember being rather annoyed when GBA games started including needless FMV sequences, making them too big to fit on my 128Mbit GBA flash cart. I'll hopefully be able to upgrade my memory card as and when they start doing overly-long FMV cut scenes for DS titles... "Metal Gear Solid: Touched!" perhaps! Thanks for the tip!
just a note for you to consider---- there have been TONS of White DS Lites that are broken --- hinge cracks that just mysteriously develop. if you are new to gaming, don't take the risk, just buy Black Onyx as they've always been safe. And the black matte inside is nice next to the screen ! good luck
personally i use the N-Card 8gbits which is actually 1GB no problems with speed like the ones with micro sd cards cos it uses NAND memory abt the black onyx, yeah it looks sweeet but too many fingerprints makes it look look like a prop from CSI
To play GBA roms, you'll need a Slot-2 card, my preference is the $15 EZ-Flash 3-in-1, paired with a Slot-1, it can play GBA roms (up to 32 megabytes, eg every GBA game dumped), work as RAM for the Opera browser, and rumble for some DS games. It's awesome, especially for just $15. (About 7.50 Pounds)
