Carnival games Wont work

Cant get carnival games to run , both US and Europian come up with same message :
The save data could not be accessed.n Please turn off and reinsert DS cardThis is the first time that any game would`nt run.

I'm having the same problems that the carnival game isn't working.
is there anybody that has a solution to get it working???

You have to download the R4DS firmware on the site above of course.

 

down loaded English Kernel V1.18: Carnival games still not working but Mechanic master and Zenses now work, tried both us and european carnival games same message on both as before The save data could not beaccessed. Please turn off and reinsert the DS card

 

when i started downloading the ds roms for my R4 they wouldnt work until i download winrar. i download winrar and saved this to my desktop for easy access. when ive download a rom i open up winrar and there they are. i then extract them to my card. ive no problems with that. when i follow the instructions for the arm7 fix from linfox i hit a problem at the point where i have to find and select a rom that already works. i open up arm 7 and on the tools menu choose extract arm7.bin , and a box pops up thats titled "open". i click on desktop , which brings up all my desktop items, i find winrar and click on open then the pop up box changes from "open" to "save as" and i cant seem to get any further. What exactly am i doing wrong?

Forgot to mention i tried updating my firmware first but the game still didnt work.

 

Unpack and get the arm7.bin from a game that already works perfectly, and then update the arm7.bin with the one you just got from the game that works.

 

Thats the problem though. I cant find my roms to be able to unpack the arm7.bin from. Yet they are there on my desktop and I can download them to my card no problems.

 

Try getting the arm7 injector (GUI version) from http://www.omgrofl.com/. And then follow the instructions in the readme text file. If that doesn't work, try using DS Lazy.

Gave them a go and i cant get it to work and i have been following the instructions so i still must be doing something wrong. I give up. Im obviously not meant to play these games. :'( Thanks for your help though. If there is new firmware brought out would it have these fixes in do you think.?

 

There wouldn't be new firmware if you do have the original R4 (no clone/fake).

 

How can I tell if ive got an original or a fake then?

 

I never got Carnival games to work on the R4, under the last official firmware v1.18 and YSMenu.

It works fine on DSTT

However I never tried patching it with a working arm7.
